Today, Team Love records tweeted Zomby a photo of his LP, I then checked Team Love’s website and found out that TILLY & the WALL have a new album out in October!!
When I first started this blog back in 2008 I was a huge fan of TATW. I went to their shows in London and saw them at festivals – the first being Reading 2006! When they went on hiatus and as the years passed I didn’t think they’d ever make any more music. It’s been a long time and in this space “Derek Pressnall, Jamie Williams Pressnall, and Kianna Alarid Cameron got married and all three had kids, while Nick White and Neely Jenkins moved to Los Angeles (Nick joined his friends’ band The Young Veins and Neely moved to LA to teach yoga, and began teaching online classes for Taiwanese students).”
I’m very excited to hear the album and hope they tour in the UK soon because their shows were always so much fun, especially the Electric Ballroom gig where there was a great crowd sing-a-long with Tilly, Slow Club and the Teenagers and stage invasion to We are the World. [photo below]
Anyway so TATW return to your ears in October with their album ‘Heavy Mood’. Featuring on the album includes Nick Zinner, Clark Baechle of The Faint and Shane Aspegren of The Berg Sans Nipple. In the meantime and here’s the first song off the album ‘Love Riot’.
